In the Community
Giving
back to our community is important to NWA Pediaric Clinic. Several
of our pediatricians volunteer their time at local free health
clinics or participate in area charities.
As a clinic,
we support several non-profit organizations and actively participate
in their fundraisers.
- Komen Foundation Kids for a Cure -
NWA Pediatric Clinic sponsored the first "Kids for a
Cure" at the Ozark Race for the Cure
in 2006 and again in 2007. Participants were given special t-shirts designed by a
local young artist and had a dedicated area during the race with
activities.
- Juvenile
Diabetes Research Foundation Walk - As the cases
of juvenile
diabetes increase, it is ever more important
to
make people
aware
of this illness. The proceeds from the JDRF walk go to research to find a cure.
- MANA Charitable Foundation - In 2006, we formed the MANA Charitable Foundation to fund health education and awareness programs, health care scholarships and more including a program developed by our pediatricians to fight childhood obesity, called Ready to Change! For more information, visit the MANA Charitable Foundation home page.
- Local Schools - Northwest Arkansas Pediatric Clinic supports local
schools and
education. Look
for NWAPC in your school's directory or sports program.
